Drilling rig is a mechanical equipment for drilling holes on the surface. It can be a large outdoor water well, oil well, natural gas well drilling equipment, or a single mobile small equipment, called an auger. Drilling rigs can be used to sample underground deposits or to install underground production equipment, such as underground machines, instruments, pipelines and hoistways. It can be mobile equipment mounted on trucks, trailers, tracks, or more fixed installations on land or offshore structures (such as drilling platforms, commonly referred to as "offshore oil rigs", although they are not designed to contain rigs). The term "drilling rig" generally refers to equipment that drills through the Earth's crust.
Due to the different purposes and construction objects of geotechnical drilling engineering, there are many types of drilling rigs. Drilling rig accessories can be classified according to their uses, such as core drilling rigs, oil drilling rigs, hydrogeological survey and water well drilling rigs, engineering geological survey drilling rigs, tunnel drilling rigs and engineering construction drilling rigs. According to the drilling method, the drilling rig can be divided into four categories:
Impact drilling rig, is divided into wire rope impact, drill pipe impact two kinds of drilling rig. Rotary drilling rigs are divided into the following three types: vertical shaft type-hand-handle feed type, spiral differential feed type, hydraulic feed type drilling rig; Rotary type-steel rope plus and minus pressure type, hydraulic cylinder plus and minus pressure type drilling rig; Mobile rotary type-full hydraulic power head type, mechanical power head type drilling rig. Vibration drilling rig. Composite drilling rig: vibration, impact, rotation, static pressure and other functions in different combinations of composite drilling rig.
In the process of drilling, the most common is sticking. The phenomenon that the pipe string and tools cannot be raised, lowered or rotated in the well is called sticking. In case of this phenomenon, the drilling machine can no longer work normally.
Causes of drilling rig sticking and treatment methods: drilling has basically eliminated the broken wing according to the current strength of the drill bit. In case of special circumstances, a seamless pipe with a diameter and aperture difference of little can be used. The pipe is filled with butter, asphalt and other substances, which are connected with the drill pipe and enter the bottom of the hole. The broken wing at the bottom of the hole is taken out and the rock powder at the bottom of the hole is blown clean before fishing. In severe cases, the drilling tool cannot be lifted, put down, and the impactor does not ring. At this time, only additional torque or auxiliary tools can be used to help the drilling tool to rotate, and then the drilling tool must be promoted while giving gas until the fault is relieved. When re-drilling, first add a little pressure, drilling and then gradually increase the propulsion until the normal working pressure.
