Drilling rig is mainly used for drilling; workover rig is mainly used for oil, water, gas wells for a variety of maintenance operations. Some workover rigs equipped with drill discs can also be used for drilling operations. Of course, due to the limited lifting load and power, only some relatively shallow wells can be drilled.
