For the plunger injection pump, many maintenance personnel did not pay attention to check the plunger four stroke capacity. The stroke capacity of the plunger refers to the intensity of movement that the plunger can move up again after being pushed down to the bottom dead center by the camshaft on the engine camshaft.
After adjusting the oil supply start time, the reason for checking the stroke capacity is that the stroke margin of the plunger is related to the wear of the plunger and sleeve specifications. After the plunger and sleeve specifications wear out, the plunger must be moved up a bit to just start the oil supply, which will delay the time to just start the oil supply. When the adjusting anchor bolt is loosened or replaced by a thick adjusting block or sealing ring, the bottom of the plunger will move up, thereby reducing the stroke capacity of the plunger. Therefore, in the maintenance and adjustment of the fuel injection pump, should be the first to check the four-stroke capacity, in order to clarify whether it is still adjustable fuel injection pump.
In the whole process of inspection, according to the different structure of the injection pump, the following different ways should be selected:
a) Rotate the engine camshaft, push the plunger above all dead points, remove the oil transfer pump and high-pressure gate valve, and carry out accurate measurement. Deep cursors.
