2. Drilling depth by drilling rig
(1) Large deep water well drilling rig. The diameter of the twist drill used is 114mm, the nominal drilling depth exceeds 7000 meters, and the load of the larger lifting hook exceeds 4,500kN.
(2) Deep water well drilling rig. The diameter of the drilling tool is 114mm, the nominal drilling depth is 4000-7000 meters or more, and the load of the larger lifting hook is 2250-4505kN or more.
(3) Medium-deep well drilling rig. The diameter of the applied twist drill is 114mm, the nominal milling depth is 1500-4000 meters or more, and the larger lifting hook load is 900-2255kN or more.
3. According to the mechanical and electrical equipment of the drilling rig
(1) The drilling rig driven by a diesel engine uses the diesel engine as the driving force according to the gear transmission or hydraulic transmission system.
(2) Communication driven drilling rig, applicable to oil and gas fields with industrial production power network

4. According to the driving method of drilling rig
(1) independent drive. Each working equipment is driven by a generator set of different specifications, which is the key to power engineering drive. Its transmission is simple and easy to install, but the output power utilization rate is low, and the total quality of the machine equipment is large.
(2) Unified drive rig. The three working modules of hoisting winch, drilling pump and wheel disc are driven by the same hydraulic power unit. Most rigs apply this planning scheme. The unified drive can also contain only one drilling pump, while the other drilling pump is independently driven. The integrated drilling rig has a high utilization rate of driving force and can adjust each other when the engine knocks, but the transmission system is complicated, the installation and adjustment are inconvenient, and the transmission system has low high efficiency.

(3) Combined drive drilling rig. The output power is comprised between the individual driver and the unified driver. There are two choices for the three working machines. The driving force utilization rate of the drilling rig is higher than that of a single drive, and the reduction ratio is convenient for unified driving. The 2 sets of working machines can also be installed in different aspect ratios and decentralized parts.
